President Isenhour called the meeting of the Chimney Safety Institute of America Board of Directors to order at 2:40 pm.

Directors Present: Jim Brewer, Ron Brigman, Paul Hempel, Robert Huta, Steve Pietila, John Pilger, Greg Polakow, Howard Rowell, Bo Tasso Jerry Isenhour

Directors Absent: Susanne Dombrowski (excused)

Staff Present: Mark McSweeney, Melissa Heeke, Royal Edwards, Art Garrett, Esq.

Guests Present: John Bordelon, Bob Fish, Hans Marsen, Marion Schroll, Renee Brigman, Diane Pilger, Bart Ogden, Bill Lower, Jeff Gitlin, Pat Powers, Jim Conant, Stephanie Williams, Thomas Rhines, Paul Anderson, Randy Brooks, Daniel Dempsey

A motion was made by Greg Polakow and seconded by John Pilger to approve the minutes of the November 5, 2003 meeting as submitted. Motion passed unanimously.

A motion was made by John Pilger and seconded by Bo Tasso to approve the Treasurer’s Report as submitted. Motion passed unanimously.

President's Report: As submitted by Jerry Isenhour.

Executive Director's Report: As submitted by Mark McSweeney.

Legal Report: As submitted by Art Garrett, Esq.

Committee Reports
Affiliated Trades Report: As submitted by Bob Fish. A discussion was held regarding attending trade shows such as the Realtor Expo.

Certification Renewal Report: As submitted by Bo Tasso. A discussion was held regarding the CEU guidelines.

Ethics Committee Report: As submitted by Howard Rowell.

Chimney Safety Education Brochures Report: As submitted by Ron Brigman.

Certification Committee Report: As submitted by John Pilger.

A motion was made by John Pilger and seconded by Bo Tasso for the CSIA certification committee to develop and write a CSIA Certified Chimney Inspector program.

A motion was made to amend by Steve Pietila and seconded by Greg Polakow to develop a plan and outline, including a budget, to develop a CSIA Certified Chimney Inspector program. Amendment agreed to by John Pilger and Bo Tasso. Motion Passed.

Financial Development Committee Report: As submitted by Greg Polakow. A discussion was held regarding the Twisted Chimney Fund.

A motion was made by Bo Tasso and seconded by Greg Polakow to adjourn the meeting. Motion passes unanimously.

The meeting was adjourned at 3:45pm.
